Parental Involvement

In order to provide the variety of activities that we do for the Scouts, we ask for as much parental involvement as possible.  It is obvious to those of us who have been in Scouting for a while, that the boys who progress the farthest in Scouting are those with the most parental involvement.

We are considering holding periodic parent meetings and encourage all parents to consider being committee members.  Please let us know if you are interested.  If there is enough interest, a parents only meeting will be held and all are invited.

Some other avenues for parents to become active in the Troop are:

  • Patrol Parents

  • Assistant Scoutmasters

  • Merit Badge Counselors

  • Secretary

  • Troop Outings

  • Troop Meetings

We strongly urge that the families attend at the minimum the "Court of Honor” held each spring and fall.

We continually look for new ideas and suggestions.  Please feel free to contact us at any time that you have questions or comments about the troop.
